Job Description:

As an Analyst in Cyber Security, Monitoring & Rep, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the bank’s digital infrastructure remains resilient against evolving cyber threats. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Defining Security Protocols: Oversight responsibility for defining, monitoring, and reviewing the types of business or information behavior that should trigger alerts for suspicious activities, malicious behavior, or unauthorized system changes.
  2. Performance Monitoring: Define, monitor, review, and report on the performance of security incident and event monitoring business rules, ensuring proactive responses to potential threats.
  3. Incident Analysis and Response: Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide investigation information on suspicious activities. Oversee incident analysis, tracking, recording, and response.
  4. Team Management: Lead the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and coordinate the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) members in analysis activities.
  5. Threat Detection: Coordinate the SOC team to spot patterns across multiple systems, providing advanced warning on new cyber threats.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: First Degree in Information Technology.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in IT is required.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Effective time management skills.

Technical Competencies:

  • Understanding of CSOC and CSIRT objectives and requirements.
  • Relevant IT certifications: CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 LI, etc.
  • Working knowledge of IT and IT Security fields, including TCP/IP, HTTP, encryption, network access controls, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of standards associated with the role, e.g., ISO, CobiT, ITIL.
  • Understanding of incident management and case management technologies (ticketing systems).
